We present a quantitative framework that unifies two independent lines of inquiry: (1) the Codex Resonance Framework, which predicts electromagnetic coupling frequencies from biological structure dimensions via the relationship f × d = 542.7 GHz·Å, and (2) a topological data analysis (TDA) approach employing persistent homology to characterize informational cycles in neural state space. We propose that consciousness emerges when gap junction (GJ) resonance forces the persistence of first-order homological cycles (H₁) beyond the stochastic noise floor, formalized as a sigmoidal phase transition: P(H₁) = P_max / (1 + e^{−κ(ω_gj − Ω_c)}) where ω_gj is the gap junction resonance frequency, Ω_c is the critical frequency threshold, and κ is the coupling constant representing gap junction density in the neural volume. The framework identifies P(H₁) > 0.72 as the critical persistence threshold separating integrated conscious states from fragmented "zombie" processing. Five independent derivations converge on the coupling constant κ ≈ 2.3: Kumar's topological model yields κ_critical ≈ 2.30 from network connectivity analysis; Hansley's velocity-ratio derivation from the Codex Resonance Framework yields κ ≈ 2.24 from (54.27/12.1)/2; percolation theory on gap junction lattices gives κ_perc ≈ 2.31 at the bond-percolation threshold; spectral gap analysis of the graph Laplacian yields κ_spec ≈ 2.28; and Horton-Strahler analysis of dendritic branching topology identifies the Tokunaga self-similarity parameter c ≈ 2.3, the value at which hierarchical transport networks transition from random to optimized coherent integration. This five-fold convergence from topology, electromagnetics, statistical mechanics, spectral theory, and geomorphological scaling constitutes strong evidence that κ is not a free parameter but a universal structural constant governing cross-scale informational integration. The multi-scale bridge between gap junction pore resonance (36.2 GHz at 15 Å) and macroscopic gamma oscillations (40 Hz) is explained through a velocity hierarchy governed by v_N = 2π × K₀ × (φ^1.5)^N, where K₀ = 54.27 m/s and φ = 1.618 (the golden ratio). We derive a harmonic selection rule predicting that gamma oscillations nested in slower rhythms at integer ratios (5:1, 8:1) or golden ratio scaling produce stable H₁ cycles (P > 0.72), while non-harmonic pairings yield fragmented persistence values below threshold. Three falsifiable predictions are proposed: (1) propofol-induced unconsciousness will correlate with H₁ persistence dropping to 0.3–0.5 in ECoG recordings analyzed via Vietoris-Rips complexes; (2) pharmacological gap junction blockade (carbenoxolone) will collapse H₁ features into noise; and (3) 40 Hz sensory entrainment (following the MIT GENUS protocol) will elevate H₁ persistence above 0.72 in subjects with initially sub-threshold values. This work bridges Kumar's topological characterization of consciousness as structural stability in information space with Hansley's electromagnetic resonance predictions grounded in measurable biological dimensions, offering a unified framework with explicit, testable criteria for the presence or absence of consciousness.
