Abstract

Theorem Zero: Information-Constrained Axiomatics for Physical Structure Description We present a formal axiom system for information-constrained physical structure consisting of six axioms: A0 (finite enforceability) and five regularity conditions R0–R4 (nontrivial cost, monotonicity, superadditivity, contextual marginals, redundant encoding). From this base, we derive four structural theorems: T0.1 (Bounded Complexity): Sets with uniformly costly elements are bounded in size T0.2 (Non-Closure): Admissible sets are not closed under union T0.3 (Contextual Marginals): Marginal costs depend on context T0.4 (Irreversibility): Records exist that cannot be removed via admissible paths Each theorem is computationally verified on a witness model and falsified on explicit countermodels demonstrating tightness. The framework makes four testable predictions (holographic bound, monogamy, minimum distinction cost, arrow of time). Key features: Honest epistemic accounting: R0–R4 are axioms, not derived from A0 No circularity: admissibility derived from (E,C); meaningfulness derived from admissibility Executable proofs: all checks are finite witness-finders with runnable Python code Countermodels for each theorem showing exactly what must fail for the theorem to fail This is foundational work for information-constrained approaches to physics, not a claim to derive specific physical theories. Admissibility Physics derives the Standard Model gauge group, fermion content, quantum formalism, Lorentzian spacetime, the Einstein field equations, the cosmological constant, and the neutrino, strong-CP, and dark sectors from a single assumption — that enforcement is finite at every causally connected region — with zero free parameters. The core derivation runs Papers 0–11; the extension papers carry the individual sectors. Each paper's main text and Technical Supplement is deposited separately, and every quantitative claim traces to a named, executable check in the public theorem bank (over 3,800 bank-registered theorems across roughly 450 modules, 48 quantitative predictions).
