Summary of the ESMO SSG + WGORC Kick-off meeting - Plenary Sessions

This document is a comprehensive summary of the pleanary session talks held as part of the ESMO SSG + WGORC kick-off meeting in Reading, UK on 9 & 10 Dec, 2025. There were 8 plenary sessions, each with 3 or 4 presentations and a 90 minute discussion section and the summary is divided accordingly. The plenary sessions were very succesful in bringing together experts from around the world to talk about their work, share ideas and have in-depth conversations about scientific and technocal issues or possibilities in the world of climate modelling, observation and related emerging technologies. We present the summary document here for the possibility of using it to enhance your own understanding or using it as a base for further research.
