DRUG-INDUCED HEPATOTOXICITY AND ITS COMORBIDITY WITH SARS-CoV-2 INFECTION
Abstract
This article presents an analysis of scientific research focused on the clinical manifestations, pathogenesis, and effective treatment of extrapulmonary complications of coronavirus infection. Recent studies have demonstrated that the pathogenetic mechanisms of liver injury in COVID-19 involve multiple factors, including direct viral damage, a pronounced systemic inflammatory response, hypoxia, drug-induced toxic injury, as well as the activation of pre-existing liver diseases.
