Accidentalitat viària a La Rioja (2016–2023): anàlisi de l'evolució, els entorns territorials associats i la morfologia de la xarxa
Abstract
This study analyzes road accident rates on the roads of La Rioja during the period 2016–2023 by integrating spatial and alphanumeric data. The analysis focuses on variables such as road type, slope, road curvature, and environment typology, aiming to identify territorial patterns associated with higher accident rates. Despite limitations such as the lack of generalized data on Average Daily Traffic (ADT), precise geolocation accuracy of accidents, and spatial resolution of road segments, a synthetic road risk index and an interactive platform based on ArcGIS Experience Builder and StoryMaps have been developed. This tool allows users to consult, filter, and download information in an accessible and intuitive way, offering an informative approach oriented towards the democratization of territorial data and its application in both professional and non-professional environments.
