Energy Continuum Theory - Part 3: Electromagnetic Force, Nuclear Binding Energy, and Time
Abstract
This paper presents Part 3 of the Energy Continuum Theory (ECT) series, providing a geometric framework for the electromagnetic force and offering a mechanical interpretation of time. ECT treats the universe as a complete, self-contained entity where physical quantities are fundamentally dimensionless energy density ratios, with conventional units (kg, m, s) emerging only through human-selected reference points. Key Results Fundamental Constants from Geometry: - Proton-electron mass ratio: m_p/m_e = 6π⁵ (99.998% agreement with CODATA 2022) - Vacuum impedance Z₀ derived from 30-faced Rhombic Triacontahedron structure (0.3σ precision) - Planck's constant h from integration at 12 high-symmetry vertices Nuclear Physics: - Helium-4 binding energy predicted from geometric surface tension σ = 3m_e(1-α): 28.31 MeV (0.04% agreement) - Microscopic foundation for semi-empirical mass formula (SEMF) - No free parameters - predictions from fundamental constants only Novel Interpretations: - Time as imaginary rotation (t = i·t_spin) of S³ manifold, explaining Minkowski metric signature from first principles - Geometric Trinity: 30 faces → Electromagnetism (Z₀), 12 vertices → Quantum Matter (h), 60 edges → Weak Force (neutrinos) - Electron as static standing wave shell (π⁴), not orbiting point particle Technical Details - Pages: 19 - Equations: 47 numbered equations - Precision tables: Sub-percent agreement across mass ratios, nuclear binding, atomic physics, and QED - Framework: Dimensionless geometric ratios, topological field theory approach - Testable predictions: Energy-dependent photon velocity, CMB temperature floor, lepton mass spectrum Context This work completes the three-part geometric unification of non-gravitational forces: - Part 1: Strong Force from volumetric structure (4π³) - Part 2: Weak Force from topological unwinding (π fiber) - Part 3: Electromagnetic Force from surface membrane (π⁴) + time interpretation Keywords Energy Continuum Theory, Electromagnetic Force, Vacuum Impedance, Planck Constant, Rhombic Triacontahedron, Time as Imaginary Spin, Topological Weights, Mass Ratio, Nuclear Binding Energy, Geometric Trinity, Minkowski Metric, Dimensionless Physics
