Registration Regime Theory: A Foundational Manifesto
Abstract
Registration Regime Theory (RRT) advances the claim that social and political reality becomes durable not through force, ideology, or economic production, but through registration. Registration is conceptualized not as a secondary bureaucratic act but as a primary ontological mechanism that stabilizes existence by determining what is recognized, enforceable, and inheritable. By reframing sovereignty as the capacity to maintain registration continuity and render records irreversible, RRT provides a unified framework for analyzing power across historical and contemporary contexts, from archival states to algorithmic governance. This manifesto establishes the foundational claims, scope, and limits of the theory.
