MONSOON-ADAPTIVE CHRONO-NUTRITION (MACN) PROTOCOL READY RECKONER EDITION
Abstract
The Monsoon-Adaptive Chrono-Nutrition (MACN) Protocol is an occupational health intervention designed for educators working in tropical monsoon climates whose circadian rhythms, environmental conditions, and work schedules operate in conflict. Night-owl chronotypes teaching early hours frequently experience compounded misalignment across three domains: circadian timing, seasonal humidity stress, and fragmented occupational rhythms. MACN addresses this triple desynchronization by aligning nutrient timing with circadian metabolic peaks, adapting diet to monsoon-specific humidity physiology, and structuring intake around teaching’s ultradian work blocks. The protocol combines warm, gut-protective seasonal foods, strategic carbohydrate loading, electrolyte micro-dosing during class transitions, and gradual light-anchored phase adjustment across a 90-day schedule. Expected outcomes include steadier classroom energy, reduced digestive distress, fewer monsoon-associated absences, and progressive circadian stabilization without forced schedule changes. To our knowledge, MACN represents the first integrated occupational health framework that systematically combines seasonal monsoon adaptation with circadian-aligned nutrition specifically for the teaching profession, establishing a new category of climate-responsive chrononutrition.
