Abstract

The framework was originally developed under the working title Universal Gravito-Informational Theory (TGIU - Teoria Gravito-Informațională Universală). As the ontology was clarified, both gravity and information were identified as emergent projections rather than fundamental constituents. The acronym TGIU is therefore retained as a historical designation, while its meaning is redefined as Theory of Global Irreducible Unfolding /Teoria Generală a Ireductibilității Dinamice Universale (Teoria pre-Geometrică a Deplierii Ireductibile Universale) 1. Why a Unifying Framework Is Questioned at All Modern physics rests on two extraordinarily successful theoretical pillars: Quantum Mechanics (QM) and General Relativity (GR). Each theory is internally consistent, empirically powerful, and unmatched in its respective domain. Yet, when extended beyond those domains, both encounter fundamental difficulties: • QM presupposes time and struggles with measurement, irreversibility, and gravity. • GR dynamizes time and geometry but predicts singularities and breaks down at quantum scales. Attempts to directly merge QM and GR lead systematically to divergences, infinities, or conceptual paradoxes. This situation motivates a prior question, which precedes any technical unification attempt: Is it necessary, or even meaningful, that Quantum Mechanics and General Relativity be unified at a deeper level? Equally important is the complementary question: Is it possible that such a unification is fundamentally impossible—and that this impossibility itself is a fact about reality? TGIU is constructed with both possibilities explicitly in mind.
