Abstract

This paper presents a mechanically closed, ontologically minimal framework for physical phenomena derived through systematic elimination rather than theoretical extension. Contrary to the prevailing portrayal of modern physics as broadly successful with isolated anomalies, this work demonstrates that when observations are partitioned taxonomically—by interaction type, division behavior, correlation structure, bonding topology, and transformation mechanism—existing frameworks fail more often than they succeed. The failures identified are not confined to unresolved edge cases. They include logical contradictions, mathematically inverted implications, mechanically impossible inferences, and explanatory claims that are demonstrably false across large classes of observed phenomena. In many instances, apparent consistency is preserved only by detaching mathematical formalism from physical interpretation or by restricting scope post hoc. This paper enforces ontological governance prior to method. Admissibility rules are fixed first. Observation is treated without inherited interpretation. Entire classes of models are eliminated where defining premises are violated by invariant experimental facts. Predictive utility, statistical regularity, and mathematical elegance are explicitly rejected as substitutes for mechanical explanation. A central result is that a small, definitive subset of observations suffices to categorically exclude major contemporary ontologies. In particular: Any model in which light is treated as an oscillatory entity whose physical extent increases with decreasing frequency is shown to be mechanically false and irrecoverable. Any framework requiring non-local causality as the sole explanation of observed correlation phenomena is shown to rest on premises already contradicted by direct observation. Energy is shown not to be an ontic entity but a descriptive abstraction, with kinetic motion arising from asymmetric interaction and cancelling without conservation. Heat is identified as free constituent concentration, not stored energy. Fusion, fission, chemistry, gravitation, and large-scale stability are derived from constraint topology and redistribution of conserved constituents, without mass–energy conversion or probabilistic foundations. What remains after elimination is not a proposed alternative theory but a minimal surviving ontology, forced by necessity. All physical phenomena within scope are shown to arise from conserved constituents (“diads”), their constrained configurations, and asymmetric interaction. Structural identity is fixed by constituent count and geometry alone, with no memory, signaling, or non-local influence required. The paper proceeds by construction only after no competing ontology survives contradiction. Its conclusions follow independently, redundantly, and decisively from observation. The result is a closed mechanical framework that replaces unsupported ontological assumptions with a minimal set of entities and rules sufficient to account for all behavior examined. This work is intended as a foundational correction rather than an incremental modification of existing models. It is presented for open scrutiny, replication, and formal challenge.
