Abstract

Reliable determination of pesticide residues in fruits and vegetables is an essential component of food safety assurance and certification systems. In Uzbekistan, improving routine analytical control using accessible and cost-effective instruments is of practical importance for laboratory monitoring. This study focuses on the application of the ionometer PXSI-210F for the detection and assessment of pesticide residues in fruits and vegetables as part of an improved certification framework. The ionometric method is based on measuring pH, ion activity, and redox potential changes associated with pesticide degradation products and agrochemical contamination. Methodological approaches for sample preparation, electrode selection, calibration, and measurement conditions were optimized to ensure reproducibility and analytical reliability. The obtained results demonstrate that the PXSI-210F ionometer can be effectively used for preliminary screening, routine quality control, and compliance assessment in accordance with national sanitary regulations. Integration of ionometric analysis into the certification process allows rapid evaluation of product safety, reduction of analytical costs, and support of decision-making for further confirmatory instrumental analysis. The proposed approach contributes to strengthening pesticide residue control and enhancing the food safety certification system for fruits and vegetables in Uzbekistan.
