The Information-Architectural Model of Reality (IAMR): Encapsulation and the Package Principle
Abstract
This work presents the Information-Architectural Model of Reality (IAMR), an ontological and architectural framework for understanding quantum mechanics and fundamental physical law. The framework introduces a layered informational architecture in which the observable quantum domain is treated as an encapsulated immanent subsystem, while the complete state of physical systems is defined at a non-immanent informational level. The IAMR is not proposed merely as another interpretation of quantum mechanics, but as an ontological and architectural framework that revises the underlying assumptions shared by existing interpretations. Rather than modifying the mathematical formalism of quantum theory, it reorients the explanatory standpoint by shifting ontological completeness from the immanent physical domain to a non-immanent informational substrate. Within this framework, quantum superposition, nonlocal correlations, and measurement outcomes are understood as projection and access effects imposed by encapsulation, rather than as intrinsic dynamical features of immanent physical entities. Fundamental constants are treated not as arbitrary numerical inputs, but as stable architectural parameters of an informational system, providing an ontological account of their universality and apparent irreducibility, without claiming to derive their specific numerical values. The work is intended for readers interested in quantum foundations, philosophy of physics, informational and architectural approaches to physical law, and the conceptual structure underlying quantum nonlocality, the measurement problem, and fundamental constants. No new empirical predictions or calculational frameworks are introduced; the contribution is conceptual and ontological.
