Abstract

This article series examines metals as a civilizational foundation from antiquity to contemporary technology. Rather than treating metals merely as material resources, the series approaches them as structures linking economy, power, belief systems, art and society particularly gold as a shared medium of value and meaning. The series presents metals as a lens through which human civilizational development can be systematically understood.
