Abstract

The teaching of human anatomy remains a fundamental component of medical education; however, traditional instructional methods often face limitations in effectively conveying complex spatial relationships and three-dimensional structures. This article examines modern approaches to anatomy education in medical universities, with particular emphasis on the integration of digital atlases and three-dimensional (3D) technologies. The study is based on an analysis of contemporary educational literature and comparative evaluation of traditional and digital teaching methods. The findings indicate that the use of digital atlases and 3D visualization tools significantly enhances students’ comprehension of anatomical structures, improves spatial thinking, and increases learning motivation. Furthermore, these technologies facilitate the development of clinically oriented anatomical knowledge by enabling interactive and repetitive exploration of anatomical relationships. The integration of digital tools into anatomy teaching is therefore considered an effective strategy for improving educational outcomes and aligning medical training with the demands of modern healthcare education.
