Witnessd: Proof-of-Process Architecture for Document Authorship Verification
Abstract
Reference implementation of proof-of-process, a cryptographic primitive category for evidence that a physical composition process produced a digital artifact. Implements jitter seals (HMAC-derived microsecond delays bound to document state), Verifiable Delay Function anchoring, external timestamp integration, and dual-source keystroke validation. Companion software to arXiv:2602.01663 and U.S. Patent Application 19/460,364.
