Relationship between organization of information and information retrieval systems
Abstract
Organisation of information can be defined as the organising, classifying, and systematic arrangement of data or knowledge in such a way that it becomes easily discoverable, accessed, and utilised. On the other hand, an Information Retrieval System is a collection of processes, techniques, and technologies used to search, locate, and bring back useful information from extensive collections based on user requests. Both are interconnected, with well-organized information as the core of successful retrieval.
