Conformal Gauge Gravitation (SO(2,4)) and Tension Field Dynamics: A Field-Mechanical Alternative to Renormalizability
Abstract
Conformal gauge gravitation based on SO(2,4) aims for a renormalizable quantum field theory of gravitation but struggles with ghost states and anomalies in matter coupling. This work presents Tension Field Dynamics (TFD) as an axiomatic-deterministic alternative: gravitation is not geometrically or gauge-theoretically quantized but reconstructed as a mechanical tension field ϕ. TFD operates zero-fit (no free parameters), avoids loop divergences through field statics, and explains scale invariance as emergent from fractal hierarchy. The Yukawa structure (∇²ϕ − ϕ/λ² = −4πρ), dispersive speed of light c(ϕ), and 45° calibration (Koide statics) replace renormalization techniques. TFD resolves UV divergences mechanically and makes conformal symmetries testable through field mechanics—a coherent, deterministic refoundation without quantum problems.
