Difference between information behavior and information practice
Abstract
Information behaviour and information practice are two different ways of understanding how people interact with information. Information behaviour focuses on the individual user—how a person identifies information needs, searches for information, and uses it based on personal thinking and decision-making. It is mainly influenced by psychological and cognitive perspectives. On the other hand, information practice emphasizes the social and collective aspect of information use. It views information activities as routine, shared, and shaped by social norms, culture, and available tools or technology. This document tells the clear differences b/w information behaviour and information practice
