Abstract

This paper presents a formal research-style case study documenting the design and implementation of a personalized cognitive governance system. The framework integrates established principles from cognitive psychology, self-regulation research, and human–computer interaction into a continuous cognitive–emotional operating structure. The system combines structured internal regulatory layers (including loop governance, identity stabilization, and bandwidth restoration) with external scaffolding and AI-supported adaptive cognitive extension. The result is a hybrid internal–external cognitive system designed to support continuity, stability, and intentional task-directed functioning over time. The work is presented as an applied cognitive systems design case study rather than a clinical or diagnostic model, and contributes a novel integrative framework for understanding how psychological principles can be operationalized into a continuous self-governance architecture.
