Global Dynamics of a Transcendental Iteration System Based on the Balance Equation
Abstract
This paper investigates the mathematical structure defined by the balance equation ln f + (π/2)f = 0 (f > 0) and its associated iteration system. First, we prove that this equation possesses a unique positive real solution f = (2/π)W₀(π/2), and establish algebraic relations between f and fundamental mathematical constants. By defining the iteration system g(u) = √u · exp(-πu/4) and its single-valued form F(w) = w/2 - (π/4)eʷ, we apply the theory of transcendental entire function dynamics to rigorously prove the almost global convergence of this system: there exists an exceptional set E ⊂ ℂ of zero measure such that for all initial values u₀ ∈ ℂ \ E, the iteration sequence uₙ₊₁ = g(uₙ) converges to the fixed point f. This proof is based on applying the Eremenko-Lyubich theorem to the entire function F. We also discuss the properties of this mathematical structure and its significance in the theory of complex dynamical systems.
