Zero-Choice Events: A Minimal Framework for Determinate Resolution Without Agency
Abstract
This working paper introduces a minimal structural framework for describing determinate resolution events that occur without agency, deliberation, or selection among alternatives. The framework defines Zero-Choice Events (ZCEs) as local determinate resolutions arising under constraint, and Δ-attractors as stabilized constraint regimes that restrict admissible resolutions without producing events themselves. The paper is intentionally non-empirical and non-domain-specific. Its aim is not to propose a theory of decision or agency, but to articulate a structural limit on the applicability of such concepts. The manuscript is made publicly available as a working paper for reference and discussion.
