Abstract

This study aims to conduct an in-depth exploration of the fundamental proposition of matter and consciousness in philosophy and science. Traditional theories such as materialism, idealism, and dualism have failed to fully reveal their inherent connection due to respective limitations. Based on Zhao Futao’s Meta-Axiom of Matter-Consciousness Entanglement (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18489637) and combined with Zhao Futao’s Meta-Axiom of Material Memory (the two meta-axioms jointly form the dual core of the theoretical system), this paper discovers through in-depth interpretation of the dual meta-axioms that matter and consciousness are not independent entities but a unified whole characterized by "entanglement." Matter is the origin and carrier of consciousness, providing reflective objects, developmental motivation, and memory support for consciousness (linking the Meta-Axiom of Material Memory); consciousness is the advanced attribute and active expression of matter, possessing perceptual, thinking, and practical functions, and has existed synchronously with the origin of matter in the form of "survival tendency" as its simplest state. Based on this, this paper constructs a monistic framework centered on "entanglement," realizing the unity of matter and consciousness in ontology, evolution, and functionalism, and providing an original theoretical perspective and ontological support for solving the problem of the relationship between matter and consciousness.
