Abstract

This paper presents a geometric boundary-based framework for examining recurring narrative structures found across mythological, literary, and cultural traditions. Rather than interpreting meaning, belief, or symbolism, the approach focuses on structural repetition: closed and open boundaries, apparent departure and return, and completion cycles. Using boundary geometry as a descriptive tool, this paper examines how narratives commonly understood as journeys, exiles, or quests may be viewed as variations of a single structural process—boundary completion—without asserting causation, origin, or hierarchy. The Hero’s Journey, the Garden of Eden narrative, and Holy Grail traditions are treated as parallel structural expressions rather than symbolic equivalents.
