Abstract

The deliverable is a good practice guide for hydrogen venting during heavy duty sampling exercises. It discusses the design and design parameters for vents as well as information about ATEX zoning. It also summarizes the steps needed to prepare for a sampling event including what must be done beforehand (training, risk assessment, agreements), during (installation, preparatory steps, sampling and venting) and after (disassembly and storage/transport of the cylinders). Finally, at the end of the report, some examples of risk assessments (those have been performed for activities in MetHyTrucks) are given.
