Abstract

This article introduces "Neuro-Knitting," an innovative interdisciplinary framework that merges artificial intelligence, neuroscience, and bioengineering to revolutionize the reconstruction of damaged Central Nervous System (CNS) pathways. Moving beyond traditional tissue preservation, the study proposes using AI as a master architect to map complex neural dynamics, integrate neuroplasticity data, and guide micro-robotic systems or biomaterials in physically bridging axonal gaps and restoring synaptic connectivity. By addressing neural repair at multiple levels—from molecular cellular reconstruction to functional network architecture—this approach offers a transformative paradigm for treating conditions like stroke and traumatic brain injuries, provided that challenges regarding biocompatibility, AI transparency, and ethical regulatory frameworks are successfully navigated.
