The Ontological Singularity Interpretation Hypothesis: A Thermodynamic Origin of Quantum Dynamics and the Arrow of Time
Abstract
This note presents the core mechanisms of the ontological projection framework (OSI) in a concise and rigorous manner. The framework posits a pre-spatiotemporal source \(\Omega\), devoid of structure and information, and the physical universe \(\mathcal{M}\) as its boundary, generated through a self-referential recursive projection. Photons are identified as fixed points of this projection, inheriting the timelessness of \(\Omega\). The fundamental scale \(\hbar\) quantifies the irreducible indeterminacy in \(\mathcal{M}\). We clarify a crucial distinction between two senses of ``information'' associated with \(\Omega\)—intrinsic zero information versus infinite information required for complete projective specification—and show how this distinction resolves an apparent paradox. The presentation is deliberately modest: this is a conceptual framework, not a physical theory, offered as a possible perspective for future inquiry. \end{abstract}
