Abstract

This research letter introduces a novel dynamical framework, the Hala Attractor, to resolve the long-standing discrepancy between classical Langmuir probe theory and observed non-linear instabilities in quiescent plasma systems. We present empirical evidence that the 1D electron saturation region of a standard 0.25-inch planar probe mirrors the downward-concave signature of the Verhulst logistic model. By mapping this trace into a discrete recurrence relation, we uncover a definitive period doubling cascade to chaos. We further provide a rigorous proof of Geometric Quenching via a self-regulating cubic feedback operator, demonstrating that chaos is a tunable emergent property of the plasma-probe interaction rather than an intrinsic stochasticity. This framework provides a “commerce safeguard” for commercial R&D by establishing a mathematical boundary for stable charge collection in both laboratory and ultra-tenuous space environments.
