Hysteretic properties of intra-glottal pressures observed in a physical model of oscillating vocal folds
Abstract
This work is related to the manuscript titled ‘Hysteretic properties of intra-glottal pressures observed in a physical model of oscillating vocal folds’. To examine the effect of vocal fold oscillations on the pressures inside the glottis, a rotational mechanism was introduced to a physical model of the vocal folds. A detailed pressure profile along the vocal fold surface was monitored under the condition that the model was manually rotated with an oscillation period of 1 s, 2 s, or 5 s. 1. Pressure_steady.xlsxIntraglottal pressures were measured under steady flow. The glottal angle was varied from -5 degrees to 5 degrees with an increment of 1 degree. The volumetric flow rate was set to a constant level of 40 or 80 l/min.XLSX file contains simultaneous recordings of subglottal pressure, intraglottal pressures measured at 16 tap locations, and volumetric flow rate (sampling frequency: 10 kHz). 2. Pressure_unsteady.xlsxIntraglottal pressures were measured under the condition that the glottal angle was rotated manually in the range from -5 degrees to 5 degrees in the period of 1 s, 2 s, or 5 s. The volumetric flow rate was set to a constant level of 40 or 80 l/min. XLSX file contains simultaneous recordings of subglottal pressure, intraglottal pressures measured at 16 tap locations, volumetric flow rate, and vocal fold angle (sampling frequency: 10 kHz).
