Abstract

This paper presents a foundations-layer reformulation of physics in which the universe is re-typed not as objects evolving in time, but as being itself: the set of distinctions that survive enforced closure under a minimal grammatical permission structure. Geometry, time, quantum phenomena, and information are shown to arise from a single lifecycle—Expand → Contract → Lock—governed by a dimensionless application threshold identified with the fine-structure constant. The framework is explicitly pre-equational, does not replace General Relativity or Quantum Field Theory, and includes clear guardrails, falsification conditions, and a worked example resolving the measurement problem at the grammatical level.
