Zhao Futao's Axiom of Material Memory Unit ——A Unified Evolutionary Framework Driven by Endogenous History
Abstract
Classic physical systems (e.g., Newtonian mechanics) have successfully summarized the natural laws of material motion and described these laws in a relatively precise mathematical form. However, essentially, these theories remain at the level of inducting and summarizing phenomena—like observing and recording nature from the outside—without delving into the underlying origin of matter to explain why the laws are as they are and why matter follows these laws. This study proposes Zhao Futao's Axiom of Material Memory Unit, aiming to reveal the generative mechanism behind the laws from the underlying origin of matter. The axiom states: All material systems take memory units as the smallest basic units, carrying and recording all their own historical evolutionary information (material memory); material memory is an inherent attribute of matter, not an externally added one. The state evolution of a material system at any moment is jointly driven endogenously by its current state and historical memory, with historical memory participating in the unified evolutionary process of the system in the form of a historical memory tensor. This axiom breaks through the limitation of "memoryless evolution" in classic physics, realizing a paradigm shift from "result-oriented" to "process-oriented" and from "static description" to "dynamic generation". It provides a brand-new theoretical perspective and mathematical tool for understanding the unified evolutionary laws of complex systems such as matter, life, and society.
