Abstract

Probability theory is a fundamental branch of mathematics that deals with the analysis of random events and uncertain phenomena. It provides mathematical tools for measuring uncertainty, predicting outcomes, and making informed decisions in situations where results cannot be determined with complete certainty. This article presents an overview of probability theory, including its basic concepts, main principles, and practical applications in science, engineering, economics, and everyday life. The study explains key ideas such as random experiments, events, sample space, and probability distributions in a clear and structured way. Special attention is given to the role of probability theory in modern technology, statistics, and data analysis. The article aims to show how probability theory helps people understand and manage uncertainty in both theoretical and real-world contexts.
