Integration of Real Colour Reconstruction for DCH Objects within an SfM/MVS Workflow @ CHNT 29, 11/04/2024
Abstract
Reconstructing the physical optical properties of a material is a complex challenge. We present a method to extract the intrinsic diffusive colour in a straightforward and non-iterative man-ner, leveraging Global Illumination rendering techniques and tools already embedded in the SfM/MVS acquisition workflow. The approach starts from the apparent colour and IBL-based illumi-nation to achieve accurate colour reconstruction.Acknowledgements: This work has been partially funded by Project PE 0000020 CHANGES - CUP B53C22003780006, NRP Mission 4 Component 2 Investment 1.3, Funded by the European Union - NextGenerationEU"
