Abstract

This technical brief presents a deterministic framework, ZIPPED (Zwanenburg Internal Pressure & Partitioned Energy Dynamics), for modelling glitch events in the Vela pulsar (PSR B0833-45). Unlike stochastic approaches, ZIPPED treats the pulsar as a mechanical system, where cumulative rotational stress, internal damping, and environmental impedance determine the timing of rotational glitches. The framework introduces the Delta Offset and threshold constants as conceptual tools to describe stress accumulation and release. This publication serves as a formal, timestamped record of the model, providing prior art and intellectual property protection for the underlying mechanical principles and their potential technological applications.
