MSPACE Recommendations: East Marine Plan
Abstract
This report summarises the findings of the Marine Spatial Planning Addressing Climate Effects project (MSPACE, 2021-2026) for the East Marine Plan area (England, UK). It includes key findings from novel research into: 1) the potential effects of climate change in this region of UK marine waters; 2) the structure of the region's blue economy; and 3) knowledge co-creation activities with marine stakeholders in the region. Through these activities, we draw up key recommendations for climate-resilient, economically sensible and socially acceptable strategies to manage marine space in the East Marine Plan area, leading to climate change adaptation and mitigation.
