Abstract

This work presents a conceptual systems architecture for plasma-assisted, resonance-modulated combustion enhancement in automotive propulsion systems. The proposed Phase-Coupled Harmonic Coherence Engine integrates non-thermal plasma fuel conditioning, harmonic waveform modulation of ignition and plasma fields, and phase-locked feedback control to explore combustion behavior as a coupled dynamical system. The document is structured as a pre-experimental design specification intended to support analytical evaluation, simulation, and controlled prototyping by qualified practitioners. Plasma-assisted combustion mechanisms are combined with a resonance-based control abstraction that treats ignition timing, fuel ionization, and mechanical motion as phase-dependent processes rather than isolated thermodynamic events. Independent falsification is supported through staged evaluation pathways, including isolated plasma module testing, engine subsystem integration, and resonance modulation experiments. Quantitative parameters, thresholds, efficiencies, and state variables are presented as illustrative control variables to demonstrate internal relationships and sensitivity, not as reported measurements. Empirical recalibration and materials characterization are required for any physical implementation. The architecture maintains mechanical compatibility with conventional drivetrain interfaces while permitting radical internal reconfiguration at the combustion and control layers. Modular subsystem boundaries, stress-testing considerations, and failure-mode analyses are provided to support reproducibility, comparative testing, and independent critique. This deposit establishes a registered conceptual framework suitable for interdisciplinary review across combustion engineering, plasma physics, control systems, and alternative propulsion research. Divergent results, partial validation, or refutation are considered valid outcomes within the intended scope of the work.
