Trust among Italians is growing again: from 2010 to 2023, levels of interpersonal trust increase in almost all regions
Abstract
Overall trust is rising in Italy: the South shows the most significant progress since 2010. Trentino–Alto Adige remains the most trusting region, while Sicily records a marked decline. Calabria and Campania are the protagonists of a social revival, with record increases in trust among citizens.
