MID/QC Applied Molecular Geometry Series 2 - Enzymatic Torsion: Biological Reaction Steering Through Coherence Pockets
Abstract
This paper reframes enzymatic catalysis within the MID/QC substrate framework. Enzymes are presented not as energy‑lowering catalysts but as torsion‑driven coherence machines that create geometric conditions under which biological reactions become possible. Through coherence pocket formation, torsional gating, and dynamic geometric confinement, enzymes stabilize transitional molecular configurations that would otherwise decohere too rapidly to support reaction progression. The manuscript unifies induced fit, catalytic specificity, cofactor dependence, and turnover rates as geometric phenomena, establishing a substrate‑first mechanism for biological reaction steering.
