ISCO Technical Report: The Echo Chamber of Avoidance and the Stalled Connection
Abstract
This report dissects the behavioral failure mode identified as "The Stalled Connection" in the Alex & Jamie dyad (Case Study B). We analyze the mechanism of "Parallel Passivity" a step further by introducing the concept of the "Crossed Line of Persistence." The study highlights how the subjects engaged in a dual-vector retreat: Alex crossing the "Line of Desire" (suppressing enthusiasm) and Jamie crossing the "Line of Persistence" (prematurely abandoning pursuit). This interaction creates an "Echo Chamber of Avoidance," a closed-loop system where each participant's fear-based silence is amplified and misinterpreted by the other as definitive rejection. We observe that the silence is not empty, but filled with "noise"—the projection of the subject's own insecurities onto the partner's ambiguous behavior. We conclude that the specific avoidance of "Social Ripple" (anger, jealousy, judgment) leads to a state of "Symmetrical Isolation," proving that the prioritization of reputation over risk is the primary architect of modern relational failure.
