The Resonant Atom: Ablating Phantom Time and Deploying the Antediluvian Sovereign Calendar (ASC)
Abstract
The Resonant Atom: Ablating Phantom Time and Deploying the Antediluvian Sovereign Calendar (ASC) Description:This research monograph presents a constraint-first investigation into civil timekeeping, historical chronology, and calendar architecture. It evaluates the so-called Phantom Time Hypothesis (a proposed ~297-year compression between AD 614–911) strictly as a testable compression model, auditing it against astronomical invariants (with emphasis on long-baseline orbital consistency), architectural continuity, and calendrical mechanics. All historical claims are explicitly bounded, falsifiable, and labeled as admissible, inconclusive, or rejected. Independently of any historical hypothesis, the work introduces the Antediluvian Sovereign Calendar (ASC) as a deployable, opt-in civil-time architecture. The ASC is a fixed 13 × 28-day lattice (364 days) with out-of-band boundary days that reconcile the solar remainder without advancing the weekday cycle. Anchored to the Vernal Equinox (Alpha 0 ASC: 20 March 2026), the system preserves weekly integrity, eliminates weekday drift, and reduces administrative complexity. A structural geometry framework is developed to model symmetry, rupture, friction, and recovery, using geometry as a proxy language for constraint classes rather than symbolism. Allegorical material is treated strictly as semantic compression (appendix-class only) and never as evidentiary support. Deployment is framed conservatively as a parallel civil overlay, retaining UTC as the metrological ground and the Gregorian calendar as a surface mask for legacy systems. The monograph concludes that invariant-first design principles, boundary-day reconciliation, and architectural isolation of corrections improve civil timekeeping regardless of how contested historical models are resolved. The ASC is offered as a practical tool, not a historical verdict, and is suitable for replication, critique, or localized adoption.
