Principia Fundamentum: Necessary Conditions for All Possible Foundations
Abstract
Principia Fundamentum (PF) is a formal meta-theory that specifies the necessary and jointly sufficient conditions any candidate foundation of reality must satisfy in order to qualify as genuinely foundational. Rather than proposing a theory of reality, PF operates at the meta-foundational level, articulating twelve irreducible adequacy principles governing primitive minimality, non-circular self-grounding, observer emergence, null-world exclusion, actuality selection, falsifiability, and self-application consistency. The framework demonstrates the independence of these principles, diagnoses structural failures in existing metaphysical and physical paradigms, and establishes a discipline-agnostic standard for evaluating foundational claims. PF functions as a constitutional framework for foundations, not as an ontological proposal.
