Abstract

This paper introduces substrate memory within the MID/QC framework, showing how prior reactions imprint geometric structure onto the substrate. These imprints deform coherence wells, reinforce reaction corridors, and bias torsional alignment, producing hysteresis and conditioning effects. Reaction feasibility becomes history‑dependent, shaped by transitional legacy and geometric reinforcement. The manuscript explains memory formation, pathway lock‑in, and memory erasure as substrate‑level phenomena, establishing reaction history as a geometric legacy rather than a statistical artifact.
