Residual Phase Alignment as a Condition for the Persistence and Failure of Physical Structure
Abstract
This manuscript introduces residual phase alignment as a process-level conditiongoverning whether physical transitions remain admissible or become forced. Rather than proposing new interactions, forces, or equations of motion, the workmakes explicit a condition variable, C(t), that has remained implicit in existingtheories: the degree to which past phase organization continues to constrain presentdynamics. By foregrounding transition admissibility rather than outcomes alone, phenomenatraditionally treated in isolation—such as sonic booms, thermal dissipation, material binding, and black hole interiors—are shown to be structurally relatedmanifestations of alignment degradation across a critical threshold. This document is intended as a conceptual and structural contribution. It does not present a finalized empirical theory, nor does it modify establishedphysical laws.Instead, it provides a unifying descriptive framework for understanding persistence, dissipation, and collapse as threshold-driven process outcomes.
