Genesis and Evolution of the Ukrainian Social Poster: Visual Transformations and Cultural Significance
Abstract
This monograph presents a comprehensive interdisciplinary study of the Ukrainian social poster as a phenomenon of visual culture, social communication, and cultural identity. The research analyzes the genesis and evolution of the Ukrainian social poster from the early twentieth century to the digital era, examining its visual language, semiotic structures, typographic expressiveness, and cognitive-emotional mechanisms of influence. Particular attention is paid to the role of the social poster in shaping collective memory, national identity, and public discourse, especially in the context of contemporary socio-political transformations and wartime realities. The study proposes a structural-factor model of the social poster and introduces new typologies of visual communication strategies.
