Abstract

We propose a phenomenological model describing social success under resource investment, social attention, and ability thresholds. Extending the model to paid AI assistance, we demon- strate that monetary investment does not monotonically improve success. We derive explicit conditions under which paid tools reduce the success index, explaining the structural origin of “pay-to-lose” and so-called “payment poverty.”
