Topological Restructuring of Artificial Intelligence: A +100× Efficiency Leap via Ramanujan Spectral Reservoirs
Abstract
Note: Benchmark results are dependent on the programming language, hardware architecture, and operating system. Abstract The current trajectory of Artificial Intelligence is unsustainable. The reliance on Backpropagation and iterative optimization has created a computational bottleneck, consuming gigawatts of energy to learn patterns that can be resolved topologically. This paper proposes a fundamental Topological Restructuring of AI. We demonstrate that intelligence is not solely a product of weight adjustment, but an emergent property of optimal geometry. We introduce the Ramanujan Spectral Reservoir (RSR), a framework that replaces the "brute force" of Deep Learning with the mathematical elegance of Spectral Graph Theory. By projecting data onto a fixed d-regular expander graph, we eliminate the need for hidden layer training entirely. Empirical benchmarks on MNIST demonstrate a Closed-Form Solution that achieves 95.2% accuracy in mere seconds, representing a measured speedup of +100× compared to unoptimized iterative solvers (Sub-millisecond Latency). This paradigm shift offers a direct path toward Green, Deterministic AI, capable of processing complex signals with minimal energy footprint. Throughput (1658 inf/sec)
