Preface Education is fundamental to the progress of people, enabling them to excel in customs, civilization, and culture, and to thrive in the political and economic spheres. Only when the people of this country receive this education fully will their needs be fulfilled. There should be no obstacles whatsoever in obtaining such education for anyone. Among the poets who strived with the noble aim of making education accessible to all, Poet Bharathidasan is a notable figure. He captivated the hearts of the people through his speeches and writings, working for the betterment of the lives of the uneducated masses and raising awareness among people isolated by caste, religious, and ethnic differences. Bharathidasan's thoughts and ideas were all centered on the advancement of the Tamil society. With this objective, he propagated his ideas and writings among the people. The idea that education coupled with rational thinking is the tool to transform people was advocated by Thanthai Periyar. By internalizing this and creating poetry, he revolutionized the world of Tamil poetry, thus earning the title "Revolutionary Poet."
