Abstract

The Integrative Relationship between Architectural Manufacturing &Contracting In Saudi Arabia Projects: A case Study of Aluminum & GlassFaçades & Their Role in Achieving Cost & Time Efficiency This study analyzes the integrative relationship between the architectural manufacturing sector(aluminum and glass façade factories) and the contracting sector within Saudi Arabia's rapidlygrowing urban projects, aligned with "Vision 2030" requirements. The research problem stemsfrom the functional separation between manufacturing and installation phases, leading to costoverruns, schedule delays, and compromised quality.A mixed-methods approach was employed, including a case study analysis of six projects inRiyadh, a questionnaire administered to a sample of factory managers and contractors (n=20),and interviews with industry experts. Results revealed a strong positive correlation between thedegree of integration and improvements in efficiency indicators (cost, time, quality). Keychallenges were identified as conflicting priorities, weak contractual and digital mechanisms.Based on the findings, the study proposes a "Proposed Integration Model (PIM)" built on fivepillars: Contractual Technology (Design-Build contracts), Communicative (unified digitalplatforms), Quality (pre-inspection protocols), and Managerial (adopting Agile projectmanagement). The study concludes with practical recommendations for practitioners andregulatory bodies to enhance this integration, contributing to national vision objectives. Keywords: Integration, Architectural Manufacturing, Contracting, Aluminum and GlassFaçades, Cost Efficiency, Time Efficiency, Project Management, Saudi Vision 2030.
