Abstract

This paper analyzes the status of rephasing freedom within admissible local descriptions and shows that all legitimate rephasing redundancy is finite and exhaustively classifiable once standing preservation and admissibility are fixed. The result is eliminative: it demonstrates that rephasing does not constitute an open modeling freedom but a limited representational redundancy that terminates under closure. Attempts to introduce additional rephasing degrees of freedom are shown to either collapse physically distinct equivalence classes, violate identity persistence under composition, or smuggle illicit scope transport by treating representational freedom as ontic variability. As a consequence, rephasing freedom is identified as a bookkeeping artifact whose admissible extent is structurally bounded. The paper introduces no primitives, parameters, or procedures. Its contribution is to mark the boundary at which rephasing ceases to be a legitimate redundancy and becomes an inadmissible source of degeneracy, thereby fixing the allowable equivalence structure of admissible local skins.
