Abstract

This chapter examines the primordial sound “Fire” as a central F0 root in the evolutionary formation of human language. Moving beyond fire as a physical phenomenon, the study analyzes “Pyr/Fyr” as a bio-acoustic, emotional, and cognitive imprint shaped by early human interaction with flame. Through phonetic and semantic tracing, the chapter maps major derivative forms such as Fury, Flare, Pyre, Inferno, Fine, Find, and First, revealing how fire functioned simultaneously as a tool of survival, a source of fear, and a catalyst for cultural emergence. Fire is presented as a critical threshold where sound, intention, and control converged, marking a decisive step in the separation between humans and the animal world.
