Abstract

Geometric Necessity: Three Falsifiable Predictions of E8 Quasicrystal Vacuum Dynamics presents a deliberately fragile theory of fundamental physics. Instead of adding new free parameters to accommodate existing data, the Pure Monist Formulation (PMF) starts from a single geometric axiom: the vacuum is an E8 root lattice projected into four-dimensional spacetime via the Elser–Sloane icosahedral construction. From this quasicrystalline vacuum, with its built‑in golden‑ratio structure, the framework derives concrete numerical predictions for phenomena spanning twenty‑three orders of magnitude in scale. The paper isolates three testable “destruction protocols” aimed at nuclear physics, cosmology, and neuroscience. Protocol A (The Nuclear Limit) treats the quark–gluon plasma not as a featureless thermal fluid but as a finite‑temperature excitation of the E8 vacuum lattice. The phason stiffness of this lattice fixes the speed of a fundamental mode at c/φc/φ, implying a QGP Mach‑cone half‑angle of 38.17∘38.17∘ that saturates at high transverse momentum. Standard QCD hydrodynamics instead approaches the conformal limit 35.26∘35.26∘ and predicts wake dissolution. A measured angle below 35∘35∘, or loss of the wake above ∼8∼8 GeV/c, kills Protocol A. Protocol B (The Cosmological Limit) addresses the dark‑energy coincidence problem. In ΛCDM the ratio r(z)=ρDE/ρDMr(z)=ρDE/ρDM grows as a3a3 and diverges; PMF predicts that dark matter and dark energy are complementary strains in the twin fibers of the E8 projection, coupled by phason‑mediated relaxation. This dynamics drives rr toward a golden‑ratio fixed point r∗=φ2≃2.618r∗=φ2≃2.618 and keeps it there. Planck 2018 places today’s value at r0=2.59±0.08r0=2.59±0.08, already within ∼1% of the target and approaching from below. Evidence that rr is not converging near φ2φ2, or robust detection of phantom behavior w
